"My interest in Islamic art is deeply rooted in my personal experience as a Lebanese Canadian Muslim. Growing up in the diaspora, I often struggled to find my sense of belonging, but my faith and admiration for God has been a constant source of comfort and inspiration for me. Through my art, I aim to share the beauty of Islam with others, regardless of their nationality, through a re-imagined, thought-provoking, multi-sensory experience.

I’ve been drawn to art ever since I was a child, and so naturally I aim to create pieces that draw viewers in, encouraging them to engage with my work on a more intimate level. From afar, it may be difficult to see all the detail within my paintings due to my minimalist style and monochrome palette, but this only pulls the viewer in, demanding them to come closer and get a better look.

My motivation to create interactive work and love for texture stem from my own desire to physically engage with artwork, and so I appreciate having viewers interact with my work and develop their own interpretations. By creating a space for personal connection, interpretation, and discussion, I hope to inspire and uplift those who view my work as well as leave them pondering in reflection."
